Founded in 1987 by Bristol Blue Glass the company is Bristol's centre for art glass and glassware. In October 2006 the company was acquired by Creative Glass Guild, the UK's leading specialist glass company.

Continuing the city's glass heritage the full range of Bristol Blue Glass pieces, all made in Bristol in all sizes and shapes from paperweights to decanters is available from our gallery at the top of Christmas Steps near the Bristol Royal Infirmary. We also offer an engraving service, to personalise your glass, for presentations, retirements and corporate orders. Our skilled engraver will add text and logos to your Bristol Blue Glass, or why not take one of our stock engraved pieces as a souvenir of Bristol.

The gallery is also renowned for its stained glass and tiffany lamps. There are always a large selection of mirrors, lighting and hanging pieces on display to brighten up any room. We undertake commissioned work from small pieces to large windows. Please feel free to

Our expanding range of exquisite blown glass from local and national artists includes work from Peter Layton, Shakespeare Glass, Blown Studio Glass, Peter St Clair, English Antique Glass along side other artists. We only select the highest quality pieces to display. It is essential to view the glass in person to appreciate its true beauty.

There is always an extensive range of jewellery on show, from pendants to bracelets, made by fantastic glass artists in many techniques, from the blowers at Bristol Blue Glass to fused and torch worked pieces. We aim to stock pieces across all price ranges from a few pounds upwards. There is something for everyone at Bristol Hand Made Glass.

Bristol Hand Made Glass now offers etched house numbers on glass. Far superior to stick on films, we supply a sheet of glass, cut to size (which can be toughened if required) with your house number or name in your choice of font and size etched into the surface of the glass.

The glass can be supplied go go above a door as a transom (square or rectangle) or fanlight (semi-circle) or as a plaque which is screwed to a wall.

Prices start at £39.95 for a plaque (including fixings & VAT, no postage), from £99 for a transom and from £190 for a fanlight. Other patterns and borders can also be added if desired. Price quotes are available upon request for your size and design.

We also stock victorian patterned etched glass and starburst corners for doors and windows. Call us on 0117 929 8765 to discuss your requirements. A fitting service is also available in the Bristol area.

Please note we do not offer an on-site etching service.
