We at Bristol Hand Made Glass offer a complete range of services for all your stained glass requirements. We can repair, restore or replace all stained glass in your home; from fanlights above your front door, to any number of internal or external doors and windows. Our service includes the removal of the old glass or window, the making of your unique piece and it’s delivery and installation.

We hate to say it but no job is to small, or to big. Our customers include the famous Ivy restaurant in London and our very own Bristol Hippodrome, as well as thousands of happy Bristolians that we have served here for the last twenty years. To celebrate this fact we also recently donated a stained glass window to the Bristol children’s hospital, design by the children from the area.

Lighting
Our popular, hand made tiffany style lamps are available in four different shapes and sizes and can be made with colors to suit any room, any mood, in any home, incorporating bases made in traditional styles from cast brass and nickel to the more contemporary shapes hand forged in steel. We love the way these lamps throw color into a room or against a wall and also the comfort, muted colors have in the cozier living areas and bedrooms. We also make flat - sided lamps and lantern style lamps that can hang from the middle of the room, as wall lights or as lamp shades on our table and standard lamps. Here at our studio we can also create stained glass panels that can be lit from behind in light-boxes, giving traditional, contemporary or unique ways to light your home or business

Mirrors
Our range of mirrors is expanding and changing all the time and it is well worth keeping an eye in-store. Our resident stained glass artists can usually create anything from your imagination. Alternatively there is always an excellent range of styles and colors of mirrors in-store from simple geometric shapes with clean lines and colour, to the more gregarious “bubblegum” designs which can be made in any color. All our mirrors are hand made and hand finished to a high standard, using traditional methods of leading and copper foiling. Customers are always welcome to visit our studio to discuss and develop their designs with our artists.

Commissions
At Bristol Hand Made Glass, we follow the traditional methods of stained glass making, even in the most contemporary of designs. Our studio is located in Bristol, where we design and craft all of our stained glass windows. The process begins with our design team who can design something for you or help you create a piece from your own drawing or sketches. From the conceptual stages of the design our artists will create a simple cartoon or template. We then discuss the colors or processes that will achieve the look that you want for your piece. Here at Bristol Hand Made Glass we pride ourselves on being able to rise to the challenge of creating spectacular pieces using various methods and at times, the latest technology. From the exquisite arts of hand engraving, glass painting and hand blowing to leaded stained glass panels, and copper foiling work, the immediacy of etched glass using sand blasting techniques and the joy of creating kiln fired bowls, dishes and jewellery at over 800c.

We also offer bespoke etched glass, from glass with house numbers or names etched into the surface to traditional Victorian patterned glass, we can supply and glaze any period or contemporary property. We even carry stock of restoration glass to glaze windows which need to retain their traditional appearance.
